One Pot Instant Pot Beef Ragu Pasta

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating with CancerwifeI like making pasta, but waiting for the pasta to cook on the stove is quite time consuming. I wondered if it would ever be possible to make a one pot pasta dish, from dried pasta and raw meat, without having to look after boiling pots on the stove?

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with Cancerwife

Wouldn't it be a dream if I could put all the ingredients into the pot, press a few buttons and leave it to cook by itself? I tried making a one-pot pasta dish in the rice cooker, but the pasta became very soggy. But it seemed like this may be possible after I got the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker!

After researching pressure cooker pasta recipes from hippressurecooking.com and pressurecookingtoday.com, I decided to give it a try with my ideal no hassle ingredients - one bag of dried pasta, one jar of pasta sauce and one pack of ground beef! On my first try it worked, with the pasta being al dente!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with Cancerwife

The trick to cooking al dente pasta in the electric pressure cooker is clearly explained here by hippressurecooking.com. You look at the package of the pasta for the total time needed to normally cook the pasta. The pressure cooker will require half that amount of time!

This bag of pasta I used cooks normally in 11 minutes, so I halved it and rounded it up to 6 minutes pressure cooker time. I may add on another minute or two next time, as I prefer softer-than-aldente pasta after my jaw surgery. One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

The Instant Pot has a "Saute" feature which allows you to stir fry ingredients in the pot (without the lid on) before using the pressure cooker function. I sauted the ground beef so that it would be in pieces before cooking with the pasta (1, 2).

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

For the pressure cooker to work properly, it's important to put enough liquid so that the pot will be able to build up pressure. I found that after putting in the pasta sauce (3), I only needed to fill up the empty pasta sauce jar full of water to completely cover the dried pasta (4). I didn't even need to use a measuring cup - one less thing to wash!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

Before making this recipe, I highly recommend reading these tips that help with ensuring a good pressure seal and opening the lid safely.

Completed pasta dish in 30 minutes from start to finish! Give it a good stir!

Enjoy this super no-hassle recipe!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta

4-6 servings.

1 lb ground beef (16oz, 452g)
1 lb dried pasta (17.6oz, 500g)
1 jar pasta sauce (25.5oz, 723g)
Instant Pot (from Amazon)
Optional: salt to taste, toppings of olive oil and/or cheese

1) Press Instant pot setting "Saute". With the lid open, cook ground beef until it is crumbled and partially cooked. I added a pinch of salt to the beef as my pasta sauce is not salty enough to flavor all the pasta.
2) Add the entire package of dried pasta, then the whole jar of pasta sauce.
3) Fill the emptied pasta sauce jar with one jar full of water. Pour into pot. Stir all the ingredients together so that the beef is well mixed with the pasta. Make sure all the pasta is covered with liquid. If there is not enough liquid to cover the pasta, add enough water accordingly.
4) Stop the saute function by pressing the "Keep warm/ Cancel" button. Wipe the rim of the inner pot well (**any liquid or sauce on the rim of the inner pot will prevent the lid from sealing properly)
5) Lock on the lid. Make sure the steam release handle is on "Sealing". Press "Manual", then adjust the time to half of the time on the package of pasta with the -/+ buttons. For example, my package of pasta normally takes 11 minutes to cook, so half of that time (rounded up), is 6 minutes. I set my pressure cooking time to 6 minutes for this particular pasta.
5) When the cooking time is up, press the "Keep warm/cancel" button as soon as possible to stop the warming function. I like to put a kitchen towel over the vent before using a long kitchen utensil to flip the handle, in case any liquid spews out. Immediately quick release the steam by flipping the steam release handle to "Venting".
6) After the pressure float valve drops down, indicating the pressure in the pot has gone down to normal, twist open the lid. Be careful of any steam.
7) Give the pasta a good stir to mix the sauce and the pasta together.

Instant Pot Pork Rib Adobo

Pressure Cooker Pork Rib Adobo Recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWifeThe savory and vinegary flavors of pork adobo make it a delicious and hearty dish to go with rice! I also love this dish because both the pork adobo and rice can be cooked together in the Instant Pot. A one pot meal ready in under an hour without having to stand over the stove--that's the kind of meal I like to cook!

Pressure Cooker Pork Rib Adobo Recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

I used pork ribs in this dish, but other cuts of pork can be used. I've also used cubed boneless pork loin chops. I found that the adobo is more tender if there is a bit of fat in the meat.

Pressure Cooker Pork Rib Adobo Recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

The garlic is sauteed in the Instant Pot, then the ribs, seasonings and water are added.

If you want to steam your rice in the Instant Pot while the adobo is cooking, add a metal rack on top of the adobo, then put a stainless steel bowl with raw rice and water. Make sure the bowl fits and is below the "MAX" mark on the pot.

Pressure Cooker Pork Rib Adobo Recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

I use apple cider vinegar, but other kinds of vinegar can be used too. As for soysauce, I had this organic Kikoman soysauce on hand that I used for this dish. I've also used the low sodium Kikoman soysauce for the pork adobo.

Pressure Cooker Pork Rib Adobo Recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

The Instant Pot is set to Manual, Low Pressure, for 35 minutes.

I have a feeling that natural or slow release makes the meat more tender, while quick release can sometimes remove the juices from the meat, making it tougher. Does anyone have any thought about this?

Pressure Cooker Pork Rib Adobo Recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

The pork adobo ribs are tender and flavorful. This is a dish that makes me want to eat at home instead of going out to a restaurant!

Pork Adobo Ribs (or Stew)

2 lbs baby back ribs cut into 2-rib pieces (or 1.5 lbs boneless pork loin chops, cut into 1 inch cubes)

4-5 cloves garlic
3 dried bay leaves
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce (I use low sodium Kikoman soy sauce)
1/2 Tbs salt (Optional - my soy sauce is low sodium so I add salt)
1/2 cup water
Optional - if steaming brown rice along with pork adobo:
1 cup brown rice with 2 cups water in a stainless steel bowl.

1) Saute garlic with oil, then put pork ribs into pot for a few minutes.
2) Add vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves, salt (if your soysauce is low sodium) and water.
3) Optional - if steaming rice together with this dish:
For 2-3 servings of brown rice: In a stainless steel bowl put 1 cup of brown rice + 2 cups of water. Put a metal rack on top of the adobo stew, then put the bowl with the rice on top of the rack. Make sure the bowl is under the "MAX" mark of the pot.
3) Instant Pot settlings - Press "Manual", then press "Pressure" button to set to LOW pressure, 35 minutes.
4) When it is done, press the "Keep warm/cancel" button. Then do a quick release: using a chopstick or other long tool, switch the vent to "Venting". Be careful of the steam that will come out. If you have time, natural release, where you wait 10 minutes before flipping open the vent, is fine as well.

Instant Pot BBQ Spareribs

Instant Pot BBQ spareribs recipeDelicious BBQ spareribs are so simple and affordable to make in the Instant Pot, you'll want to make these all the time!

All the ingredients can be bought from Costco! Extra marinated raw spareribs can be frozen, so I can whip up this dish in no time!

 Instant Pot BBQ spareribs recipe

The Instant Pot, an electric pressure cooker, cooks the spareribs until they are tender. Then the ribs are glazed with BBQ sauce in the toaster oven, oven or Nuwave oven. These are the best BBQ spareribs I've had, and they're so easy to make!

I bought all my ingredients from Costco: 3 full slabs of baby back pork ribs, dry rub seasoning (McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning) and BBQ sauce.

Instant Pot BBQ spareribs recipe

Since I wasn't going to eat all 3 slabs of ribs, I cut each slab of rib in half (1) and marinated each side of the ribs with the dry rub seasoning (2). I put 2 half-slabs of marinated ribs in a gallon-sized ziplock bag, then froze it (3).

If you're in a rush for time, you can buy the pre-marinated raw spareribs from Costco. This will save time to marinate.

Instant Pot BBQ spareribs recipe

The Instant Pot can fit all 3 full slabs of ribs (6 half-slabs of ribs). This recipe works for one half-slab to six half-slabs of ribs. With one cup of water in the Instant Pot, add the metal rack, and put the half-slab of ribs upright (1). Press Manual, and adjust the time to 25 minutes (2). The meat should still remain on the bone, but soft enough to fall off the bone easily (3).

Instant Pot electric pressure cooker BBQ spareribs recipe

The next part is to glaze the BBQ sauce onto the ribs. I used the Nuwave oven. A toaster oven or regular oven would work as well.

Put some BBQ sauce on the underside of the ribs (1), then spread it evenly on the surface (2). I set the Nuwave oven to 420 degrees for 5 minutes (3, 4), or until the BBQ sauce is bubbling. Flip the ribs over to glaze the other side.

Instant Pot electric pressure cooker BBQ spareribs recipe

Instant Pot BBQ Spareribs

1 half-slab to 6 half-slabs

1 slab of raw baby back pork spareribs (from Costco)
dry rub seasoning (McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning, from Costco)
BBQ sauce (KC Masterpiece Original BBQ, from Costco)

1) Cut the full slab of ribs into half.
2) Liberally season the ribs on both sides with the dry rub seasoning.
3) To store the marinated ribs for the future: put 2 half-slabs of ribs into one gallon-sized ziplock bag. When you want to cook it, put it into the refrigerator the day before to defrost, then follow steps 4 onwards.
4) Put 1 cup of water into the inner pot, followed by the metal rack.
5) Stand the half-rack of ribs upright. The Instant Pot can fit up to 6 half-slab of ribs.
6) Press "Manual", then adjust time to 25 minutes.
7) Quick release or natural pressure release when the pressure valve drops.
To glaze the ribs:
8) Transfer the cooked ribs to the Nuwave oven (or toaster oven, or regular oven).
9) Put the BBQ sauce on top of ribs, then spread it evenly.
10) Bake the ribs until the glaze bubbles. Nuwave Oven setting: 420 degrees, 5 minutes.
11) Flip the ribs over and repeat steps 9 and 10.

Instant Pot Bak Kut Teh Herbal Rib Soup

Pressure Cooker Bak Kut Teh Herbal Rib Soup, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWifeBak Kut Teh is a meaty soup with deep herbal flavors. It usually takes hours of slow cooking to make the meat tender and for the flavors of the garlic and shitake mushrooms to come out. With the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker, the whole process is shortened to under an hour, with only 30 minutes of pressure cooking time!
Pressure Cooker Bak Kut Teh Herbal Rib Soup, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife
Frozen cuts of pork, chicken or lamb with bone (rib, chops or soup bones with meat) can be used to make bak kut teh. The soup packets can be bought at Asian supermarkets. For this recipe, I only used 1 packet of the A1 soup spice, as it's strong enough for me.
Pressure cooker Bak Kut Teh Herbal Rib Soup, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife
The first time I made soup in the Instant Pot, I waited about an hour for the pressure to build up, before the pressure cooking time even started. It was too long of a wait for me!

So, this time I tried to speed up the time for pressure to build up by pouring in boiling water that I made in an electric kettle. It only took 15 minutes for the pressure to build up, so I will be adding in boiled water for soup from now on!
Pressure cooker Bak Kut Teh Herbal Rib Soup, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife
I used the "Soup" setting for this recipe. If you want your soup to be even more rich and flavorful, and if you have time to spare, you can add to the preset 30 minutes cooking time by pressing the "+" button to your desired cook time.

Bak Kut Teh Herbal Rib Soup

1 lb meat with bone (pork, chicken or lamb - frozen is fine)
1 packet of Bak Kut Teh Herbal Soup Mix (from Asian supermarket or from Amazon)
5-6 cloves garlic
5-6 dried shitake mushrooms
Salt (to taste)

Instant Pot electric pressure cooker (from Amazon)

1) Put meat, herbal soup mix, garlic cloves and shitake mushrooms into the Instant Pot.
2) Prepare boiling water (I used an electric kettle). Fill the Instant Pot with boiling water up to the 7 cup mark, about 1/2 of the pot, so the meat is completely covered.
3) Lock in the lid, set the steam release handle to "Sealing".
4) Press the "Soup" preset button (30 minutes).
5) When the pressure cooker beeps to signal it's done with the cooking time, press the "Keep warm/Cancel" button to stop the heating process. The display should read "OFF". This will accelerate the natural pressure release, otherwise you'll be waiting a long time to open the lid.
6) Skim off fat from the surface of the soup. Add salt to taste.

Instant Pot Steel Cut Oatmeal (Apples + Raisins)

Instant Pot recipe apple raisin steel cut oatmeal, healthy and quick recipeHealthy steel cut oatmeal usually takes a long time to cook, but with the Instant Pot, it's super fast and easy to cook!

I cooked apples and raisins along with the steel cut oatmeal to make this a delicious complete breakfast.

Instant Pot apple raisin steel cut oatmeal recipe, healthy and easy recipe

The Instant Pot, an electric pressure cooker, cuts down the time to cook steel cut oatmeal.

I bought a large 7 pound bag of organic steel cut oatmeal at Costco. I decided to add raisins and an apple to this batch of oatmeal.

Instant Pot apple raisin steel cut oatmeal recipe, healthy and easy recipe

I first lightly toasted the oatmeal with some butter on "Saute" (1). This gives the oatmeal a nuttier and richer flavor. Then I turned off the "Saute" to prevent any burning. Next the apples and raisins were added (2). Followed by water (3). The Instant Pot was then set to 15 minutes "Manual" (4).

Instant Pot apple raisin steel cut oatmeal recipe, healthy and easy recipe

The oatmeal had a little bit of bite to it. I prefer it softer and creamier, so the next time I cooked it at 25 minutes and it was perfect.

About 4-6 servings

1 tablespoon butter (optional)

One Pot Pressure Cooker Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with Cancerwife

The Instant Pot makes it possible to throw in frozen meat, raw veggies and dried pasta, press a few buttons, and out comes a delicious chicken noodle soup!

The main ingredients can be stocked up so you can whip this recipe up quickly: frozen chicken breasts (Trader Joes), Fusilli pasta (Trader Joes), carrots and celery!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with Cancerwife

I found that the frozen organic boneless and skinless chicken breasts from Trader Joes are really handy to have for quick last-minute meals. Each chicken breast is individually frozen, so you can easily take out however many pieces you need. It costs $5.99/lb, which is a great deal for organic chicken breasts. Each bag has 5-6 pieces, and costs around $13-16.

One Pot Pressure Cooker Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup recipe, Healthy Eating at Home with Cancerwife

I took 2 frozen chicken breasts and put it at the bottom of the instant pot (1). Then I chopped up a few carrots and stalks of celery and put it in the pot (2). Next came the herbs. I added 2 cubes of frozen chopped up garlic (from Trader Joes), some dried thyme and salt (3). I poured the whole bag of dried pasta on top (4).

I added water until it covered all the dried pasta (5). I put the lid on, pressed "Manual", then adjusted the cook time to 10 minutes (6).

3-4 carrots, chopped into 0.5 inch pieces
3-4 stalks of celery, chopped into 0.5 inch pieces

seasonings (to your taste): 2 cubes of frozen garlic (from Trader Joes), 1 teaspoon dried thyme, salt
Instant Pot (from Amazon)

1) Place the 2 frozen chicken breasts into the inner pot.
2) Add the chopped carrots and celery.
3) Add the seasonings according to your taste: 2 cubes of frozen garlic (from Trader Joes), 1 teaspoon dried thyme and 1 teaspoon salt.
4) Add the entire package of dried pasta.
3) Add enough water to cover the pasta.
5) **Wipe the rim of the inner pot to get rid of any liquid that may compromise the seal of the lid later.**
6) Lock on the lid. Make sure the steam release handle is on "Sealing". Press "Manual", then adjust the time to 10 minutes with the -/+ buttons.
(**Tip: If you use a different kind of pasta, the cook time may be different. Keep in mind you will need about 10 minutes to cook the frozen chicken breast.)
7) When the cooking time is up and the pot beeps, press the "Keep warm/cancel" button to stop the warming function. Immediately quick release the steam by flipping the steam release handle to "Venting". I like to put a kitchen towel over the vent, then using a long kitchen utensil to flip the handle, in case any liquid spews out.
8) After the pressure float valve drops down, indicating the pressure in the pot has gone down to normal, twist open the lid. Be careful of any steam.
9) Take out the 2 chicken breasts, then cut up the chicken into smaller pieces. Mix it back into the chicken noodle soup. Adjust the salt and seasonings in the soup according to taste.

Making one-pot pasta is now super easy with the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker!

You look at the package of the pasta for the total time needed to normally cook the pasta. The pressure cooker will require half that amount of time!

This bag of pasta cooks normally in 11 minutes, so I halved it and rounded up (6 minutes), then added a few minutes to 8 minutes, as I like this pasta a little softer than al dente.

One Pot Pressure Cooker Beef Ragu Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

The ingredients I had on hand for this recipe were: a 1-lb bag of organic Penne pasta (Costco), a 1-lb bag of frozen organic spinach (Sprouts), a pack of fresh organic chicken drumsticks (5 count, Trader Joes) and a jar of organic Bertolli pasta sauce (Costco).

One Pot Instant Pot Pressure Cooker Chicken Spinach Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with Cancerwife

I took the skin off the drumsticks and put them at the bottom of the instant pot (1). Then I poured the entire bag of pasta (2) and the entire jar of pasta sauce (3). I filled up the empty pasta sauce jar completely with water, then put the lid back on and gave it a good shake. All that water went into the pot as well. I made sure to add enough water so the pasta was all covered (4).

One Pot Instant Pot Pressure Cooker Chicken Spinach Pasta, Healthy Eating at Home with CancerWife

Next, I poured the whole bag of frozen spinach onto the top (5). I didn't stir the spinach, as it will cook quickly and should be left at the top of all the ingredients. After I gave the rim of the inner pot a good wipe (*any sauce on the rim may cause the lid to not seal well!), I put the lid on and pressed "Manual", then adjusted the cook time to 8 minutes (6)!

The chicken was tender, and the pasta was flavorful. A quick and easy meal!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Chicken Spinach Pasta

4-6 servings.

5 chicken drumsticks, skin removed
1 lb frozen spinach
1 lb dried pasta (17.6oz, 500g)
1 jar pasta sauce (26 oz, 1lb)
Instant Pot (from Amazon)
Optional: salt to taste, toppings of olive oil and/or cheese

Tip: Place Instant Pot lid away from the Instant Pot, to avoid the sauce from splattering onto the lid
Tip: To remove the skin from chicken drumsticks, take a paper towel to help you grip the loose end of the skin, then pull the skin towards the joint on the drumstick.

1) Place the 5 chicken drumsticks into the inner pot.
2) Add the entire package of dried pasta, then the whole jar of pasta sauce.
3) Fill the emptied pasta sauce jar with one jar full of water. Pour into pot. Make sure all the pasta is covered with liquid. If there is not enough liquid to cover the pasta, add enough water accordingly.
4) Add the entire bag of frozen spinach on top. Don't stir, as you want the spinach to be on the top as it will cook faster than the rest of the ingredients.
5) **Wipe the rim of the inner pot to get rid of any sauce/ liquid that may compromise the seal of the lid later.**
6) Lock on the lid. Make sure the steam release handle is on "Sealing". Press "Manual", then adjust the time to half of the time on the package of pasta (for al dente pasta) with the -/+ buttons. If you want it to be softer, add 2 minutes. For example, my package of pasta normally takes 11 minutes to cook, so half of that time (rounded up), is 6 minutes for al dente pasta. I added 2 more minutes to a total of 8 minutes as I like the pasta a little softer.

One Pot Instant Pot Kale Beef Pasta

One pot pressure cooker instant pot kale beef pasta recipeA one-pot meal made in the Instant Pot with simple and nutritious ingredients from Costco and Trader Joes! Baby kale, onion, ground beef, dried pasta and pasta sauce are all that you need!

One pot pressure cooker instant pot kale beef pasta recipe

The Instant Pot electric pressure cooker makes it possible to cook all these ingredients together, and the pasta still turns out al dente! The trick to cooking al dente pasta in the Instant Pot is explained here by hippressurecooking.com. You look at the package of the pasta for the total time normally needed to cook the pasta. The Instant Pot cook time will be half that amount of time for al dente pasta!

This recipe was made with a bag of Farfalle pasta (Trader Joes), a red onion, a bag of organic baby kale (Costco), frozen grass-fed ground beef (defrosted, Trader Joes), and a jar of pasta sauce (Trader Joes).

One pot pressure cooker instant pot kale beef pasta recipe

I browned the diced onions on "Saute" (1), followed by sauting the ground beef so that it was in pieces (2). The entire bag of dried pasta was poured on top (3), followed by the entire jar of pasta sauce (4).

One pot pressure cooker instant pot kale beef pasta recipe

The empty pasta sauce jar was filled with water, then poured into the pot. I made sure to add water so that it covered all the dried pasta (5). Lastly, I added the raw baby kale to the top, not stiring it, as the baby kale will cook quickly and can be left at the top of all the ingredients (6).

One pot pressure cooker instant pot kale beef pasta recipe

A very important step is to wipe the rim of the inner pot after all the ingredients are put in (7). This ensures a good seal when the lid is put on. After the lid is in the locked position, I pressed "Manual", then decreased the time to 8 minutes (8).

One pot pressure cooker instant pot kale beef pasta recipe

Before making this recipe, I highly recommend reading these tips that help with ensuring a good pressure seal and opening the lid safely. Once the cooking time was up, I put a cloth on the side of the lid with the steam release handle, then used a long utensil to flip open the handle.

Completed pasta dish in 30 minutes from start to finish! Give it a good stir!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Kale Beef Pasta

4-6 servings.

1 red onion, diced
1 lb ground beef, fresh or defrosted (16oz, 452g)
1 lb dried pasta, Farfalle (17.6oz, 500g)
1 jar pasta sauce (25.5oz, 723g)
2-3 large handfuls of baby kale (or as much as you can put under the "max" line)
Instant Pot (from Amazon)
Optional: salt to taste, toppings of olive oil and/or cheese

1) **Keep lid on the side of the pot or away from the Instant Pot to avoid any splatter from contacting the silicone ring or lid. Never use the pressure cooker lid to prevent splatter while sauting (see tips for how to reliably build up pressure)
2) Press Instant pot setting "Saute". Add some oil. Saute onions until browned.
3) Add ground beef and saute until it is crumbled and partially cooked.
4) Add the entire package of dried pasta, then the whole jar of pasta sauce.
5) Fill the emptied pasta sauce jar with one jar full of water. Pour into pot. Stir all the ingredients together so that the beef is well mixed with the pasta. Make sure all the pasta is covered with liquid. If there is not enough liquid to cover the pasta, add enough water accordingly.
6) Add as much baby kale to the top of the ingredients as possible. Leave the baby kale siting on top of the ingredients and do not mix into the pasta, as the baby kale cooks faster than the other ingredients.
6) Press "Manual", then adjust the time to half of the time on the package of pasta with the -/+ buttons. This will give you al dente pasta. Add an extra 1-2 minutes if you want it softer than al dente. For example, I set my pressure cooking time to 8 minutes for this particular pasta to make it slightly softer.

The Instant Pot, an electric pressure cooker, can cook an entire bag of sweet potatoes with the press of a few buttons.

I bought this three pound bag of organic sweet potatoes at Trader Joes for $3.99. I find that these are consistently sweet and tender (without stringy fibers).

I soaked them in water to get the dirt off the skins, followed by a good scrub.

After putting in the metal trivet into the instant pot, one cup of water goes in. The sweet potatoes are then layered on top.

Piping hot and tender sweet potatoes now ready! I removed the skins so you can see how delicious they are! To make baby food, just remove all the skins, and smash it with a spoon.

A whole bag of sweet potatoes may take a while to finish, so they can be frozen for later. I took the skins off the sweet potatoes that I wanted to freeze, then put them on a tray lined with plastic saran wrap without touching each other. I put them into the freezer overnight, then into a ziplock bag and stored in the freezer.
